More support has come for the nation's top athletes who have opted to continue their track and field career through the US collegiate system. The list includes Kevona Davis and Wayne Pinnock who were standouts for their respective schools at Boys and Girls Champs and while representing the country at the junior level.
However, 2011 world champion Yohan Blake, despite being among those who trained in Jamaica, has thrown his full support behind the young athletes.
Assistant coach at Clemson University, Lennox Graham argues that with only a small percentage of athletes likely to achieve global success, the student athletes have made the right decisions. Davis will attend the University of Texas while Pinnock has signed to attend the University of Tennessee.
