Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Jerome Foster

Coach of the Sunshine Girls Connie Francis has vowed that the pre-series issues which have affected the team in their ongoing test series against New Zealand will never happen again.

This comes after the depleted sunshine girls team suffered a 45-70 defeat to the Silver Ferns in their opening match on Wednesday morning in Auckland.

Captain Shimona Nelson was impressive inside the arc with an 87 percent shooting accuracy, scoring 36 goals from 41 attempts, while Gizelle Allison had 9 from 14.

Grace Nweke dropped in 59 goals from 63 attempts for the Silver Ferns. The second and final test takes place on Thursday morning starting at 2 o'clock Jamaica time.
