Sunshine Girls slip one place in world rankings

Following their debacle in New Zealand in September where the team faced logistical challenges, Jamaica's Sunshine Girls have slipped a place to fourth in the latest world rankings.

The Jamaicans had to use a severely depleted team, which resulted in a two nil defeat in the test series.

The Sunshine Girls now have 180 rating points with England third with 181.

World champions New Zealand are second with 194 points while Commonwealth Games champions Australia are out front with 200 points.

Meanwhile, the latest rankings confirmed the 16 teams that will compete at the World Cup next year in South Africa.

Along with Jamaica, the rest are Australia, Barbados, England, Fiji, Malawi, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Uganda, Wales and Zimbabwe.
