Parent company Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) has stepped in to help offset the financial setback for local horse racing's promoting company, Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) as a result of the indefinite suspension of racing caused by the Covid 19 pandemic. This was revealed to Radio Jamaica Sports by Executive Chairman of Supreme Ventures Limited Gary Peart.
To date, the total investment by SVL into SVREL is over $1.5 billion. Peart also disclosed that other new developments are in the pipeline for the promoting company. An announcement on the new initiatives is expected to be made soon.
Peart and other members of the management team from SVL and SVREL joined forces with the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) on Wednesday to present 304 Covid care packages to members of the Gregory Park community where the race track is also situated.
