Taylor the best placed Jamaican at Oslo Diamond League

There was no Jamaican winner at the Oslo Diamond League meet in Norway on Thursday. Christopher Taylor was the best placed of the three Jamaicans who competed at the meet after he finished third in 45.31 seconds in the men's 400 metres.

Grenada's 2011 world and 2012 Olympic champion Kirani James took the event in 44.78 seconds.

Natoya Goule improved on her time but finished sixth in a season's best 1 minute, 59.31 in the women’s 800m

Omar McLeod was a no-show for the men’s 110m hurdles.

Elsewhere, World Championship silver medallist Danniel Thomas-Dodd was fourth in the women's shot put after heaving 19.04 metres.
