Thompson-Herah denies she's leaving MVP Track Club

Voice of Olympic double sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah

Back to back Olympic double sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah is moving to deny as “rumour” the reports that she is leaving the MVP Track Club.

Speaking on Thursday evening on the NBC programme "Brother From Another Mother", the fastest woman alive denied that she was leaving the club which brought her to international stardom.

Thompson-Herah, the only woman to win the Olympic sprint double at consecutive Games, was asked how the rumour could have started.

“Probably because I didn’t show up at practice; I’m still on my rest period so probably persons might be speculating why she’s not at practice. We just came back from the international circuit and we normally get like a four week rest and I’m into my second week,” said Thompson-Herah.
MVP coach Stephen Francis in his interview with the RJRGLEANER Group on Thursday morning, said he would wait until October 18 to see which athletes including Thompson-Herah would return to the club.
