Uncertainty surrounds 2020 staging of Jamaica Open Golf Championship

Voice of JGA president Peter Chin

President of the Jamaica Golf Association (JGA), Peter Chin says there is no certainty the Jamaica Open will go ahead as planned due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Chin says the JGA has been given the all clear by the ministry of health to resume competitions locally.

However, with the pandemic significantly affecting businesses, Chin says no decision has been made about this year's staging of the event at the Tryall Golf Course in Hanover.

The first tournament after the resumption will be held on July 11 at the Constant Spring Golf Club.
