2015 world champion Danielle Williams was the only Jamaican winner at the opening IAAF Diamond League meet of the 2019 season in Doha, Qatar on Friday. Williams sped to a season's best 12.66 seconds to capture the women's 100 metre hurdles.
Janieve Russell with 55.28 seconds, ended 4th in the women's 400 metres hurdles which was won by 2016 Olympic champion Dalilah Mohammed in a meet record 53.61 seconds.
Natoya Goule ended 8th the women's 800 metres, clocking 2 minutes, 00.96 seconds behind South African winner Caster Semenya who posted a world-leading 1 minute, 54.98 seconds.
