The West Indies have moved up two places to 6th in the ICC World Test Championship table following their 2-0 series away win over Bangladesh recently.
The Caribbean team now has 160 points are now just outside the top 5 of the Test Championship table after moving ahead of South Africa and Sri Lanka.
The table is led by New Zealand who have already qualified for the final after Australia's pullout from the tour of South Africa. India have also moved into second place following their victory over England in the second test in Chennai.
England will need to win the two remaining test matches to reach the WTC final ahead of India. The final of the inaugural WTC will be held from June 18-22, with June 23 being the reserve day.
Meanwhile, the West Indies remain 8th in the ICC test rankings but have moved to 80 points, just three points behind Sri Lanka who they will host in March and 6 points adrift of 6th placed South Africa. New Zealand also lead the test rankings ahead of India.
