The West indies have taken a 1-0 lead in their three match ODI series against Ireland following a 24 run win at Sabina Park on Saturday.
Inserted to bat, the Windies slipped to 62-4, but a 155 run fourth wicket stand between debutant Shamarh Brooks 93 and captain Keiron Pollard 69, lifted the hosts to 269 all out in 48.5 overs.
Shai Hope was the next best contributor with 29, while local debutant Odean Smith made 18 against three wickets apiece for Mark Adair and Craig Young.
Needing 270 for victory, the Irish were on course at 165-1 until they lost five wickets for 19 runs to hand the Caribbean team the upper-hand as they were eventually dismissed for 245 in 49.1 overs.
Romario Shepherd was the pick of the bowlers with 3-50 and support from Alzarri Joseph 3-55. Debutant Odean Smith claimed 2-26.
