Windies U19 beat England U19 in final ODI encounter

The West Indies Under 19s defeated England Under 19s by 17 runs in the sixth and final One Day International at Canterbury to record their second victory in the series.

The West Indies Under 19s first posted 230 all out off their 50 overs after electing to bat.

The Caribbean youth team was led by Matthew Nandu who top scored with 80, while Carlon Bowen-Tuckett contributed 48. Jamaica's Andel Gordon made 4. Sonny Baker took 4-41 and Rehan Ahmed 3-30 for the English.

In reply, England Under19s were dismissed for 213 in 45 overs. Ahmed returned to top score with 68 not out, while George Thomas made 38. Vasant Singh took 4-51 and Nandu 2-35 for the West Indies Under 19s. The result meant the Windies Under19s lost the series 4-2.
