Wolmer's Boys restructures track and field coaching staff

RJR Sports online understands that Wolmer's Boyz School has parted company with the entire coaching staff for its track and field programme.

It's understood the decision was taken this week, resulting in head coach Christopher Harley stepping aside. Harley took over from David Riley as head coach of the Heroe's Circle-based institution in 2012.

He guided the school to a ninth place finish with 50 points at this year's ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships but it's understood the Old Boys Association was not pleased with the overall performance of the team.

RJR Sports online sources say one of the island's most prominent club coaches, is set to oversee the track and field programme at Wolmer's for next year's campaign.

In the meantime, Harley continues to coach at the professional outfit Cameron Blazers, headed by Olympian and former world champion Bert Cameron.
