Ice Cube says he lost a $9 million movie deal after refusing to take vaccine

Rapper and actor Ice Cube has revealed that he lost an opportunity to earn US $9 million because of his refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

Ice Cube stated in the most recent episode of the podcast Million Dollaz Worth of Game that producers of the comedy film Oh Hell No required him to get the jab.

He clarified earlier media reports that he turned down the job, insisting that he was denied the role because of his decision.

The Sony production, which would have featured Jack Black as co-star, has since been pushed back.

Vaccination among the cast and crew of productions in Hollywood has become an issue on the sets of multiple film and TV projects.

A number of actors, including 9-1-1's Rockmond Dunbar and General Hospital's Steve Burton, have departed their respective shows to avoid vaccine mandates at the height of the pandemic.
