Tems, Wizkid land top spots on Billboard Afrobeats charts

Nigerian trailblazers Tems and Wizkid have landed the top spots on Billboard's inaugural year-end charts for Afrobeats artistes and songs.

The Grammy Award-nominated songstress was listed as number one on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Artistes ranking, while her collaborative hit "Essence" with Wizkid topped the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.

Tems also secured three additional entries on the Afrobeats Songs chart, including Free Mind, Higher and Found. 

In the meantime, Burna Boy finished second on the Songs chart after charting 27 songs in 2022 alone.
