American Airlines increases flights to JA

Jamaica's tourism industry has received a boost with news that American Airlines is to increase flights to the island.

Beginning Thursday, November 18, American Airlines will add three nonstop flights per week from Chicago’s O'Hare Airport to the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James.

This will increase the carrier’s total weekly round-trip flights between these gateways to five.

John Lynch, Director of Tourism, says the additional flights will provide extra options to travellers in Chicago where there has been an increase in the demand for flights to Jamaica.

American Airlines will fly round-trip between Chicago and Montego Bay on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays this winter.

Jamaican flights are operated using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which offers 16 first-class seats and 144 seats in economy-class.
