Bank of Jamaica intervened in FX market 8 times in 1st quarter

The Bank of Jamaica intervened in the foreign exchange market eight times in the first quarter this year.
 
In its latest report, the Economic Programme Oversight Committee (EPOC) says the central bank pumped an average US$26 million into the market per sale.
 
These sales were marginally in line with the average of US$26.8 million sold for the December 2023 quarter.
