CIBC Caribbean says the Bank of Jamaica has given it approval to allow customers to open a bank account online.
The bank says this is for both new and existing clients.
Nigel Holness, Managing Director at CIBC Jamaica, says this is part of Phase 2 of the bank's Digital Client Onboarding process.
This includes electronic document verification services, along with digital signing.
