Consolidated Bakeries Jamaica reported net profits of $15.5 million for the nine months ended September 30 on revenues of $1.27 billion, reversing a loss of $5.38 million in the prior year.
The turnaround was driven by a 3% increase in sales and tighter cost controls which lifted gross profit to $519.8 million from $480.3 million a year earlier.
Operating profits surged to $40.5 million compared to $7.7 million in 2024 despite higher finance costs of $19 million.
Earnings per share climbed to $0.07 up from a loss of $0.02 in the corresponding period.
