Eppley Value Fund records higher six-month earnings

Eppley Caribbean Property Fund's Value Fund recorded increased earnings for the six months ended March 31 this year.

In a report to shareholders, the Fund says comprehensive income rose 16% to BDS$2.67 million (Barbadian dollars) when compared to the corresponding period last year.

The Fund's net operating income increased 9% to just over BDS$6 million.

Management says the improvement was driven by higher occupancy levels and contractual rent increases across its portfolio.

Funds from operations, a key measure of operating profitability, climbed 22%.

The Fund also ended the period of BDS$7 million in liquidity and says it continues to maintain a strong balance sheet.
