Net profit at Everything Fresh declined 14 per cent to $38.5 million for the three months ended June 30, down from $44.8 million a year earlier.
Revenue also weakened, falling 4.7 per cent to $1.07 billion.
The food distributor says its performance was affected by logistical challenges linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, as well as the slow recovery of some hotel-sector customers following the impact of Hurricane Melissa.
For the six-month period, revenue slipped marginally by 0.3 per cent to $2.16 billion.
Managing Director Courtney Pullen says the company remains focused on delivering growth targets and continues to prioritise organic, profitable growth while improving margins.
