Excelerate Energy to invest up to US$400 million on infrastructure in Jamaica and wider Caribbean

Excelerate Energy, which recently acquired New Fortress Energy for US$1 billion, has disclosed that it will invest up to US$400 million in infrastructure across Jamaica and the Caribbean.

The company says this will position Jamaica as its LNG hub for the region.

Excelerate, based in the United States, holds assets valued at US$4 billion, including US$600 million acquired through the New Fortress purchase.

CEO Steven Cobos says investments between $200 million and $400 million are expected by the year 2030.
