The government is expected to earn less revenue arising from the impact of Hurricane Beryl.
Chairman of the Economic Programme Oversight Committee (EPOC) Keith Duncan says, with Gross Domestic Output projected at minus one per cent to 0.5 per cent for the 2024/2025 fiscal year, funds paid over to the government as taxes will likely be affected.
Mr Duncan was speaking at EPOC's recent quarterly press briefing.
For the April to June quarter, tax revenues were an estimated J$270.8 billion.
That's about 3.7 per cent more than what was budgeted.
Tax revenues were behind budget in the first quarter of 2024.
