IronRock Insurance Company has reported a return to profitability in the second quarter of 2026, with improved underwriting results, stronger investment income and continued growth in its insurance business.
The company says pre-tax profit for the April to June quarter was $21.7 million, a turnaround from a $23.6 million loss in the corresponding period last year.
For the first six months of the year, IronRock posted a pre-tax profit of $28.7 million, compared with a $31.4 million loss a year earlier.
Insurance revenue for the first half of the year rose 14 per cent to $1.17 billion dollars, driven by growth in its fire, liability and accident insurance portfolios.
The company says, as at July, 31, eighty-seven per cent of claims for Hurricane Melissa, for policies where IronRock is the sole or lead insurer, had been settled and closed, while settlement offers had been made on another eight per cent of claims.
