The Jamaican dollar improved in value by 46 cents compared to the US currency at the end of trading on Thursday.
This is after it hit a new record for the average selling rate of $158.75 to one US dollar.
After the Bank of Jamaica pumped US$40 million into the market through a flash sale, the greenback is now going for $158.29.
Four banks and four cambios were successful in their bids.
National Commercial Bank, Scotiabank and First Global Bank received the larger shares of money in the bid.
As for the other benchmarks, the Canadian dollar is being sold for $118.67.
The average value of the Pound is $207.31, while the Euro is going for $178.96.
