Jamaica imported US$1.6 billion in merchandise goods from the USA from January to July

Data released by STATIN revealed that Jamaica imported US$1.6 billion in merchandise goods from the USA during the period January to July this year. 
 
Of the other trading partners, imports from China were valued at US$404.2 while from Brazil, Jamaica imported goods valued at US$279.7 million.
 
Goods from Japan amounted to US$177.5 million while imports from Trinidad & Tobago were valued at US$147.3 million.
 
STATIN also says the country exported US$440.81 million in merchandise goods to the USA during the January to July period. 
 
Exports to Iceland were valued at US$107. 2 million and the figure for exports to Russia stood at US$92.1 million.
 
Exports to the Netherlands from Jamaica were valued at US$69.8 million while exports to Canada were valued at US$55.1 million.
