Manufacturing company Jamaican Teas earned lower profit for its third quarter ended June.
For the three month period, the company made $86 million after tax.
Jamaican Teas says for the comparative period ended June 2023, it made $180 million after meeting tax obligations.
The decline was linked to lower investment gains by QWI Investments in which the company has a large stake.
Jamaican Teas made $772 million in revenue for the three-month period ended June 2024.
Last year, revenue totalled just over $715 million.
The company says manufacturing revenues increased two per cent in the quarter and six per cent for the nine months.
This was mainly driven by a strong performance in the export market, where revenue increased by almost eight per cent in the quarter and five per cent for the nine months.
