Jamaican Teas recorded higher net profit and stronger revenues for the year ended September 30, despite a decline in operating profit.
Net profit for the year rose $230 million, up from $207.3 million in 2024, while operating revenue increased to $3.47 billion compared to $3.18 billion in the previous year.
However, operating profit fell to $313 million from $463.6 million, largely due to higher administrative expenses and a sharp reduction in fair value gains on investments.
Finance costs were also lower at $44.2 million compared with $57 million the year before.
Profit attributable to shareholders rose significantly to $226.3 million from $124.2 million in earnings per share improved.
