JPS reports reduced profits

 
The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) is reporting lower profits. 
 
For the quarter ending June 30, net profit was $11.9 million or 22 cents per share on revenues of $278.7 million. 
 
That's down from $17 million or 31 cents per share in the similar period last year. 
 
For the six months to June 30, JPS earned $25 million compared with $30 million a year earlier.
