The JSE Index advanced by 1,661 points on Wednesday, while the Junior Market advanced by 35 points.
There was trading in 113 stocks, of which 51 advanced, 36 declined and 26 traded firm.
One on One Educational Services was the volume leader with 39 per cent of total volume.
