The JSE Index advanced by 6,777 points while the Junior Market Index advanced by 13 points on Tuesday.
There was trading in 113 stocks, of which 54 advanced, 43 declined and 16 traded firm.
West Indies Petroleum Terminal was the volume leader with 96 perc ent of total volume.
