The Jamaica Stock Exchange's Main Index declined by 1,489.05 points to close at 318,486.44 points on a volume of 1.2 billion units, valued at $4.4 billion on Thursday.
A total of 58 stocks traded; 28 advanced, 22 declined, and eight traded firm.
TransJamaica Highway was the volume leader with 1.2 billion units.
The junior market index also dipped by 16 points.
