Lumber Depot records dip in third quarter performance

High interest rates and uncertain economic conditions negatively impacted the third quarter performance of Lumber Depot Limited.
After meeting tax obligations, the company made $28.5 million for the three months up to January, compared with $35.7 million for the similar period in 2022.
Lumber Depot's revenues were also lower at $372.9 million.
That's $27.3 million down from the corresponding period last year, when the company made $400.2 million.
Supply chain challenges which led to the unavailability of some hardware items, and a spike in commodity prices at the beginning of the year also affected the company's results.
