CEO of Marathon Insurance Brokers, Levar Smith, says the company's new branch in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth reflects confidence in the parish's resilience after Hurricane Beryl and its growing importance as a commercial hub.
Mr Smith says insurance is about people and relationships, whether in person or online.
Marathon already operates in Kingston, Montego Bay, and Portmore, and plans to expand to Mandeville, May Pen, Portland, and Ocho Rios.
Jamaica Chamber of Commerce director Winsome Callum adds that the Santa Cruz opening shows confidence in that town's future.
