CEO of Medical Disposables and Supplies (MDS), Kurt Boothe, says there will be an increase in the cost of medical supplies in the next 10 days, based on information that he says he received from one of the company's international partners.
Speaking in an interview on Radio Jamaica's Real Business on Tuesday, Mr. Boothe said that this is due to the impact of the war in the Middle East, on the destruction of crude oil and chemical facilities and by extension supplies and prices.
Medical Disposables and Supplies is one of the countries leading important distributors of pharmaceutical products.
The company lost some 30 per cent of clients in the wake of Hurricane Melissa.
