More then 40 per cent of Jamaican businesses felt the economy will improve coming into 2024.
Head of Market Research Limited Don Anderson, says while there was a quarter- over-quarter improvement in the outlook, there was a year-over-year fall-off.
He said 33.7 per cent of the 100 businesses interviewed, were of the view that economic conditions would remain the same, while 22 per cent felt things would get worse.
The 44 per cent which expect improvement, they cited five key factors: "The economy is recovering; some sectors will improve the economy... government policies being put in place... some industries, like tourism, will rebound, to the benefit of the economy."
