The Airports Authority of Jamaica has started work on a master plan to construct a new terminal at Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport by 2034.
Audley Diedrich, President and CEO of the AAJ, says the plan is driven by the expected addition of 15 to 20 thousand hotel rooms over the next 15 years.
Diedrich, speaking at the JAPEX conference in Montego Bay, also reaffirmed plans to build a new airport in Negril, noting that airports should be within one hour of key tourism destinations.
