OGH hemp farm employs Trelawny residents

At least 30 residents from the communities of Jackson Town, Clarks Town and Duncans in Trelawny have been employed at Organic Growth Holdings (OGH) Incorporated's craft medicinal hemp farm at Long Pond Estate.

Mitchell Yeckes, Managing Director of the company, said the entity will continue to provide sustainable employment to local communities.

The entity was granted a lease for the 635-acre property in June this year.

The company, which trades locally as OGH Grow Jamaica, will utilise the hemp in the manufacture of a number of organic wellness products.

The cannabidiol (CBD)-infused products will be made at OGH's processing facilities located on the property, which along with the farming operations represent an overall investment totalling US$4 million.
