RJRGLEANER Group records loss in Q2

The RJRGLEANER Communications Group has made a loss in the second quarter ended September.

For the three months, the group, which is the parent company of Radio Jamaica News, made a $65 million loss after tax.

That's compared to a $12 million loss for the similar period in 2022.

The group, which is listed as Radio Jamaica Limited, realised revenues amounting to $1.43 billion, a $9 million decline compared with last year.

The RJRGLEANER Communications Group says the achievement of lower revenues was linked to the "Print and Other" segment.

However, other income was $13 million higher.

The group says the business continues to be plagued by lower advertising spend by companies, as many moved to low-cost advertising options coming out of the pandemic.
