Salada Foods Jamaica reports profit decline

Salada Foods Jamaica is reporting net profits of $120 million, or 12 cents per share, on gross revenues of $1.1 billion for the nine months ended June 30.

This represents a 26 per cent decline when compared with net profits of $162 million on similar revenues for the corresponding period last year.

The directors say the performance was boosted by a seven per cent increase in exports to the United States and Barbados.
