Spur Tree Spices Jamaica reports robust second quarter revenue increase

Spur Tree Spices Jamaica has reported a sharp increase in net profit for the second quarter of 2026, as higher sales volumes and improved operational efficiency boosted the company's performance.

Net profit for the quarter rose 228 per cent to $30.4 million.

For the six months ended June, net profit more than doubled, increasing 119.5 per cent to $45.7 million

The company also recorded strong revenue growth, with the second quarter registering an increase of 22.6 per cent to $425.2 million.

For the first six months, revenue rose 16.7 per cent to $797.1 million, from $683.1 million.

Spur Tree says the revenue increase was driven mainly by higher production and sales volumes across several key product categories.

The company says higher fuel and other input costs continued to put pressure on margins during the first half of the year, prompting selective price adjustments on some products.

However, management says it maintained discipline in controlling expenses and continued to improve operational efficiency.
