The net profits of Spur Tree Spices tumbled to $12 million on revenues of $336.4 million during the three-month period ended March 31.
This is compared with net profits of $28.2 million on revenues of $394.5 million during the corresponding period last year.
The reduction was mainly due to the shortage of Ackee, a key raw material in the company's production for export.
The company, however, says it produced more seasonings, sauces and dried products in order to meet increased consumer demand.
