Spur Tree Spices registers strong growth in first half of 2026

Managing Director of Spur Tree Spices Limited, Albert Bailey, says he is pleased with the company's financial performance for the second quarter of this year, describing the results as a reflection of the groundwork laid to recover from the impact of Hurricane Melissa last year.

For the six months ended June, Spur Tree Spices generated net profit of $45.7 million on revenue of $797 million.

Speaking on Radio Jamaica's Real Business on Sunday, Mr. Bailey said the improved performance was supported by several strategic initiatives implemented since the start of the year.

These include expanding the company's distribution network in the United States, increasing online marketing through Amazon, improving the management of its subsidiaries and strengthening productivity and operational efficiency.

Mr. Bailey said these measures have helped to position Spur Tree Spices for stronger growth following the disruption caused by Hurricane Melissa in the third quarter of last year.
