The JSE Main Index gained 2,279 points on Thursday, while the Junior Market increased by 36 points.
Among the 60 winners were: EduFocal, Regency Petroleum, JMMB Group 7 per cent shares, TransJamaican Highway 8 per cent shares, and Eppley.
The 39 losers were led by: GWest Corporation, Main Event Entertainment Group, Key Insurance Company, Berger Paints and Guardian Holdings.
Fifteen stocks closed the session, selling at the same price they started trading.
