The JSE Index declined by 1,498 points on Wednesday, while the Junior Market Index declined by 32 points.
Thirty-seven stocks advanced, including Pulse Investments, General Accident, Caribbean Assurance Brokers, EduFocal and Kingston Properties.
The 50 declining shares included Sygnus Credit Investments 8 per cent preference shares, Kintyre Holdings, Eppley, Dolphin Cove and Sygnus Real Estate Financial.
