The JSE Index gained 2,195 points, while the Junior Market increased by 15 points.
Among the 51 winners were: The LAB, Caribbean Assurance Brokers, Caribbean Cream, AMG Packaging & Paper Company and MFS Capital Partners.
The 29 losers were led by: Sygnus Real Estate Finance US dollar shares, Sygnus Credit Investments Jamaican dollar shares, Jamaica Public Service 7% shares, Derrimon Trading Company and Ciboney Group.
Eighteen stocks ended the session selling at the same price they started trading.
