TPDCo and Red Stripe sign MOU for new tourism product in Port Royal

The Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Red Stripe to develop the Port Royal Saloon Waters Tour.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening Port Royal's position as a heritage tourism site following its designation by UNESCO.

TPDCo's Executive Director Wade Mars says the project will highlight the history of Port Royal while creating opportunities for community development, entrepreneurship and increased visitor arrivals.

Red Stripe has already invested $9 million in the project, which will go towards bartender training, bar upgrades, the creation of beer cocktails reflecting the town's history and staff uniforms to maintain quality standards.
