Trade Board launches online academy to help local exporters

The Jamaica Trade Board recently launched an online export academy in order to train Jamaican exporters on how to navigate the various steps involved in exporting.

Retired Major Dr. Hugh Blake, CEO of the Trade Board, said local exporters will also learn about the available markets as well as the regulations which must be met in order to successfully access these markets.

Exporters and potential exporters who want to attend this online academy may visit the Trade Board's website for instructions.

The academy was launched against the background of the continued decline in the country's merchandise exports which tumbled by 15.2 per cent to US$134.2 million in January.
