Wigton Energy is reporting a strong performance for the six months ended September 30, posting a net profit of $354.5 million, an increase of 14 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The improvement came as total revenue rose by 8.9 per cent to $1.54 billion, driven by a 27.7 per cent increase in electricity production.
The company said the rebound reflects a recovery in output, as operations in July 2024 were disrupted by Hurricane Beryl, which reduced generation during the corresponding period last year.
