31 more COVID-19 deaths

Thirty-one more COVID-19 deaths have been confirmed in Jamaica, taking the country's death toll from the virus so far to 2,103.

The Ministry of Health & Wellness, in its update on Saturday morning, revealed that the deaths occurred during the period August 11 to October 14.

The latest to die from the disease range in age from 27 to 89.

Jamaica also confirmed 246 more COVID-19 infections from 1,270 on Fridaday, for a positivity rate of 19.1 per cent.

There have now been 87,232 infections in Jamaica since the first case was announced on March 10 last year.

There are currently 370 patients in hospital with the disease, down from 393 on Thursday. Among them, 44 are severely ill while 25 are deemed critical.
