Aid agencies blame Israeli restrictions for 'mass starvation' in Gaza

More than 100 aid agencies have warned that mass starvation is spreading across Gaza, accusing Israel of not allowing food inside the strip to be distributed.

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says 10 people have died of malnutrition in the last 24 hours alone.

Israel, which controls all border crossings in Gaza, said on Tuesday there were 950 trucks worth of aid currently waiting in Gaza for international organisations to pick up and distribute.

Meanwhile, Israel says its ground and air offensive continues, with the Hamas-run civil defence agency reporting 17 people killed by airstrikes in Gaza on Wednesday.
